paula esson - senior sports scientist

Over the last 30 years our understanding of pain and human movement has advanced. I have endeavoured to be at the creative edge of this progression with dedication and commitment. Real action and treatments that actually make a difference to the player so they can be at the peak of their abilities and performance without limitation.

“Passing on the torch” is what motivates me daily.

I specialise in the emerging field of neuro-science for the treatment of injuries, rehabilitation and highest potentials. The intriguing and emerging field of scar management is a keen focus too.

My heart is in the community and it is a real privilege to lead the Sport Science aspects of SMWFC to support in the coming years to nurture the players in all aspects of their life so they can reach their full potential, empowered, focused , with grace and injury free.

How are we going to achieve this?

• Listening to and involving players in their own healthcare path.

• Applying ground-breaking sport science to get “the edge”.

• Attending to injuries and being a supportive lead when players are slowed down by injury.

• Providing functional medicine and lifestyle assistance with encouragement.

• Measuring, monitoring and sharing with fun.

Thank you for inviting me to join your community.
